Dec 7th, 2024 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
See history come to life with the WWII reenactors during their December drill, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Interact with historical WWII reenactors aboard the USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM. These historical reenactors, dressed in WWII period Navy uniforms, demonstrate what life aboard ship was like during wartime. They share stories from the original crewmen, conduct weapons briefings, and demonstrate drills while aboard the ship. Be sure to grab a spot on the main deck of the USS ALABAMA when “Call to Battle Stations” is sounded. Enemy aircraft will fly over attacking the ship, and the crewmen will fire back to defend her! Planes fly based on mechanics and weather conditions that day. Admission prices are $16 for AAA Members, $13 for active-duty dependents ages 12 and up, and $5 for active-duty dependents ages 6 to 11. Active-duty military and children up to 5 years old are free. For more information visit: ussalabama.com/event/december-living-history-crew-drill/
