Children's book author Dr. Alexandra Jones will read from and sign her book, "Indya the Archaeologist," on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at Africatown Heritage House. After the reading, at 2 p.m., all are welcome to meet Dr. Jones and have her sign your copy of the book, a children’s fiction story that introduces science facts in an engaging way to help young readers discover the importance of archaeology while inspiring them to explore the world around them. Dr. Jones is an archaeologist and archaeology educator with more than 16 years of experience. She currently serves as president of the Society of Black Archaeologists and is passionate about making archaeology accessible to all.
