Journey through 106 beautiful acres of the Mobile Botanical Gardens, Wednesday Sept. 28, 2022, from 8 to 10 a.m. Found in the heart of urban Mobile, experience a variety of habitats for birds including multiple natural wooded habitats with nature trails, a 35-acre fire-managed long leaf pine forest hosting a large, endangered gopher tortoise population, a pollination garden, and noteworthy horticultural collections and gardens. The Sawada Winter Garden has been recognized by the International Camellia Society as a ‘Garden of Excellence’ and the Aromi Rhododendron garden is the largest collection of its type in the southeast. From the Gardens, migratory and resident birds and waterfowl can also be observed in the adjacent lakes and ponds of Langan Park.
