Travel by boat to the site of the Clotilda, the last-known slave ship to bring West Africans into America, on the first Saturday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., starting at the Mobile Convention Center. The Clotilda, which was rediscovered in May of 2019, rests in the waters of the Mobile River north of the city. This special tour to the wreck site, guided by Africatown Freedom Tours, will provide information on the ship, its passengers and their lives, and the enduring legacy of that fateful voyage.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for children ages six to 12 and FREE for ages five and under. For more information, go to www.blakeleypark.com/Things-to-Do/Events.
