Individuals and organizations can volunteer to clean Alabama’s coastal waterways and beaches on Saturday, September 19, from 8 a.m. to noon. The Alabama Coastal Cleanup is the state’s largest annual volunteer event focused on cleaning neighborhoods, local parks, streets and storm drains. Trash travels through storm drains, streams and rivers to become bay and Gulf pollution. Picking up litter benefits everyone. To find a zone and volunteer, go to https://alabamacoastalcleanup.com.
This event is sponsored in part by the Mobile County Commission.
