16TH ANNUAL TURKEY TROT FOR HOPE

An annual Thanksgiving Day tradition, the Turkey Trot for Hope certified 5K and 1-mile Gobble Wobble fun run take place on Thursday, Nov. 27, at 8 a.m., starting at Mardi Gras Park in downtown Mobile. Pre-registration pricing is $44.90 for the 5K run/walk; $34.17 for the Gobble Wobble; and $23.44 to "stay in bed" and get a T-shirt. Proceeds from the event support Rapahope, a nonprofit organization that offers free year-round camp programs for families battling childhood cancer. Special prizes will go to Most Participants, Best Thanksgiving Costume, Fastest Turkey and Fastest Wheelchair Participant.
