'STEEL MAGNOLIAS' (Multiple Performances)

The Joe Jefferson Players will stage "Steel Magnolias" from Friday, Jan. 15, to Sunday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2:30 p.m. on Sundays at Joe Jefferson Playhouse. Robert Harling wrote the stage play, which became a classic film starring Julia Roberts, Sally Field and Dolly Parton, based on his experience with his sister's death. The play, which will be directed by Eric C. Browne, is a tragicomedy about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana.Tickets are $26.75 per person.
