BRAS ACROSS THE CAUSEWAY 5K AND FUN RUN

The Ninth Annual Bras Across the CAUSEway 5K and Fun Run takes place Saturday, Oct. 11, starting at 8 a.m. at Battleship USS Alabama Park. Proceeds directly benefit local breast cancer patients for gas, groceries, copays, uncovered medical expenses, rent, utilities and much more. Registration is $30. There's a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, so plan to carpool. Dress up in a costume, bring your dog (on a leash) and enjoy treats from local merchants like Hall's Sausage, Cammie's Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe, Braided River and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. To learn more and to register, visit www.brasacrossthecauseway.org.
