ARTIST DINNER WITH COLLEEN COMER

Alabama Contemporary Art Center presents an artist dinner with Colleen Comer on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the artist's home. Address information will be given to ticket holders exclusively. Comer is a local painter whose work focuses on re-centering popular culture, self-image and feminine power. This dinner event will cover what it takes to sustain a practice in the Deep South as well as Comer's more recent work. Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner and drinks. Registration is required. Proceeds benefit the construction of the education pavilion, community kiln and sculpture garden at AC Satellite, an arts education hub in downtown Mobile.
