2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TURKEY CALLING

Many of the country’s top turkey callers are eagerly awaiting the chance to show off their talents on Friday, June 9, 2023, and Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Mobile Convention Center.

The World Championship Turkey Calling Contest has long-time ties to the city of Mobile. The inaugural event was held in Mobile in 1940 at the Battle House Hotel when Mr. Fred T. Stimpson, the current mayor of Mobile's grandfather, took home top honors. Former world champions will judge the competition. Male and female competitors will be given a turkey-calling situation to replicate using air and friction calls.
