LIFE AT SEA: RADIO CENTRAL (COMMUNICATING DURING WWII)

In this talk for the Life at Sea Lecture Series, Dr. Tim Morgan will discuss how the USS ALABAMA's communication system was used and how critical Radio Central was to the operation of the ship during WWII. After the presentation, visitors can take a privately guided tour of Radio Central. Tim is a member of the Deep South Amateur Radio Club and one of the driving forces behind the restoration of Radio Central. He is a retired history professor. The lecture will take place in the Wardroom and is included in the day's admission.
