MOBILE JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL: "ROSE"

Join the Mobile Jewish Federation for the 2023 Celebration of Jewish Arts Festival on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, 12 a.m. CST (Virtual) and on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Laidlaw Performing Arts Center, 5751 USA S Dr, Mobile, AL 36608 where they will embark on a Jewish journey through film, theater, and music.

The film Rose tells the story of a suddenly widowed family matriarch. Rose learns to pursue her desires, rejecting the societal pressure to “act her age” and fade into benign oblivion. A career-crowning turn from screen legend Françoise Fabian (onetime star of My Night at Maud’s) highlights this life-affirming reminder that it’s never too late to seek happiness.
