Join the Mobile Opera for the inspiring story of Opera Star Marian Anderson. Marian rose beyond the clutches of poverty, lack of opportunity, and bigotry to become the first African-American singer to perform at the New York Metropolitan Opera. Through the inspiring story of her ascent to international fame, her voice is still being heard. The event will take place in the Murphy High School Auditorium, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $9.99 for students and $25 for individuals.
