Distinguished theater leader Terrence Spivey will talk “Art” at the Mobile Museum of Art on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. With a legacy of groundbreaking work, Spivey serves as the founding director of Powerful Long Ladder Ensemble in Cleveland, OH, and as Artistic Associate for Imani Community, the first Black theater company in Mobile. His most recent project, An Ocean in My Bones, is a poignant play about the Clotilda, the last known slave ship to bring enslaved Africans to the United States. Through his work, Spivey continues to amplify voices and narratives that demand to be heard This is free to the public.
