Q: Who is able to use the Mobile County Commission Employee Health Center?
A: The Center is available to County employees, their spouses and adult children (ages 18-26) who are enrolled in the Mobile County Health Plan.
Q: How much does a visit to the Employee Health Center cost?
A: There is no co-pay to see the physician or wellness nurse.
Q: Do I have to use the Mobile County Commission Employee Health Center?
A: Use of the Employee Health Center will be voluntary. You may keep your current primary care doctor and use the employee clinic occasionally, or you can request the Physician at the Employee Health Center as your primary care doctor. Regardless of who you choose as your primary care doctor, you may still have access to the wellness nurse.
Q: When will the biometric testing and Health Risk Assessment start?
A: We plan to begin offering the Biometric Testing and Health Risk Assessments (HRA's) in mid-June. The testing and HRA is voluntary, but we encourage every employee to participate. You can't address issues you don't know you have. We plan to conduct initial testing and HRA's onsite at several strategic locations. Look for more information on dates and locations soon.
Q: Are the biometric testing and HRA's private?
A: Your results from the Biometric Testing and HRA's will be 100% CONFIDENTIAL. They will be accessible only by you and the Employee Health Center staff.
